WordPress for Beginners: Are you just getting started with WordPress? Do you have a blog but know that there’s more that you can do with it just not how to do it? Have you never started a site but want to try? WordPress for Beginners is the workshop for you!

The workshop is being run by WordPress professionals with years of experience who build websites for a living. Throughout the day you’ll learn how to find a host, install and setup WordPress, what themes are and how to choose one, what plugins are and how to use them, how you can extend your website into a marketing, lead generation, sales, or business machine, and more. All of the workshop presenters will be available for one on one support throughout the day, and there will be plenty of time for questions.

Beginning WordPress Development: You’ve used WordPress and know a bit about HTML and CSS, but might not have written a single line of PHP or JavaScript. That’s ok! Our workshop is being led by professional WordPress developers who know the ins and outs of the CMS and can answer any development questions that you have.

You’ll learn how to set up a local server to work from, start building your own child theme, add features to it with PHP and JavaScript, as well as learn basic accessibility and security that you should be thinking of with every site and plugin that you build. All of the workshop presenters will be available for one on one support throughout the day, and there will be plenty of time for questions.
